Details: Up Board (UPMSP) has announced that students who appeared in the Uttar Pradesh Board 2025 exams and either failed any subject or scored low marks can apply for Improvement / Compartment exams. UP Board High School (10th) Improvement / Compartment Exam:
Students can appear for improvement in one subject or for compartment in one of two subjects (as per their eligibility). The exam fee is Rs. 256.50.
Intermediate (12th) Compartment Exam:
Students from arts, science, and commerce streams can appear for the compartment exam in one subject. Vocational stream students can also appear for one paper.
The exam fee is Rs. 306.00.
Application Period: From 19th May 2025 to 10th June 2025 (till midnight) on the official website: upmsp.edu.in
Students who wish to appear for the Improvement or Compartment exams must submit their applications online by June 10, 2025, along with a copy of the fee receipt (challan). The challan should be deposited under a specific code and submitted at the regional office of the Board within 3 days of registration.

It further clarifies that both theory and practical exams will be included for improvement / compartment exams. If a student has failed in two subjects or wants to improve their marks in two subjects, they can appear for both exams.
